Boof
aka boof weed · brown bud
Boof refers to low-quality, often poorly cured or improperly stored cannabis — brown buds, harsh smoke, low potency. It's the opposite of zaza or top-shelf. The same term in some traffic-stop and pet contexts can also mean to swallow or ingest something illicitly, but in cannabis it means bad weed.
Example: I'm not paying $40 an eighth for boof.
Etymology: Likely a 1990s-era slang adoption from broader cannabis vernacular meaning 'low quality.'
