aka 2018 farm bill · agricultural improvement act
The 2018 Farm Bill (Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018) is the federal legislation that legalized hemp by removing it from the Controlled Substances Act. The bill defined hemp as Cannabis sativa L. with no more than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight and established a federal regulatory framework for hemp cultivation. The 2018 Farm Bill is the legal basis for all hemp-derived THCA products in the US.
Example: Without the 2018 Farm Bill, no hemp THCA market would exist.
