ICRS

aka International Cannabinoid Research Society

The International Cannabinoid Research Society is the global academic society that runs the annual peer-reviewed cannabinoid science conference. ICRS is the most-cited scientific authority in the cannabinoid field and is where most new research on cannabinoid pharmacology, terpenes, and the endocannabinoid system is first presented. Citing ICRS-published research is considered the gold-standard signal for evidence-based cannabis content.

Example: Per ICRS 2023 proceedings, caryophyllene's CB2 binding is now well-replicated.

Etymology: Founded 1991, originally the International Cannabis Research Society.
